Chocolate and Avocado Mousse – a healthy choice for a delicious and natural dessert!
Easy to prepare, this recipe can also be used for people with gluten intolerance.
Besides the creamy and velvety texture, this dessert is rich in magnesium, essential fibers and “good” vegetable fats, necessary for the proper functioning of the body.
Here’s what you need:
- 1/2 cup of soaked dates;
- 1/2 cup of maple syrup;
- a teaspoon of vanilla essence or vanilla extract;
- 1 cup (a cup and a half, about 2-3 avocados) of avocado puree;
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder;
- 1/2 cup of water.
Method of preparation:
Step 1: Mix the dates, maple syrup and vanilla extract until a smooth, homogeneous texture is obtained. Then add the avocado mashed (ie the pulp from the 2-3 pieces of crushed avocado), cocoa powder and mix well until you get a creamy paste.
Step 2: Add the water and mix thoroughly until the ingredients are homogenized.
The foam so obtained can be served at room temperature or kept in the refrigerator for 3 days or in the freezer (up to 2 weeks).
